Bahath in collaboration with Muslim menswear page @themuslimmale has put together a list of five awesome clothing brands just in time for Eid shopping!
When we first covered our favourite Islamically-inspired clothing brands in 2018, we received an overwhelming response from our readers and we were proud to promote the visions and products of 5 excellent Muslim clothing brands.
For 2021, we’ve decided to bring back this popular article with 5 new Muslim brand picks, whose ideals focus on building community, promoting cultural awareness and putting that extra kick into your wardrobe. We are excited to share with you the fantastic brands we have discovered and hope it’s a testament to the creativity and talent we have in our fashion community!
1) Dar Collective
Dar Collective is an American unisex clothing brand founded to promote awareness of the cultures and traditions across the Muslim world through designs created by local artists.
Since their founding, they’ve released two themed series of designs focused on different regions of the Muslim world, Palestine and Pakistan, as well as their latest travel series, providing twists on the classic travel poster. For their Pakistan series, they contribute a percentage of each sale to the Paani Project, a non-profit organization managed by young professionals who work with local community partners in South Asia to improve the clean water supply.
We love Dar Collective’s commitment to fostering both local economies and cultural awareness and are excited to see what they produce for the future! Their designs are available as t-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies, crewneck sweaters, posters and stickers in a variety of colors, so you’ll be sure to find the right fit for you.

2) EMIR
EMIR is a men’s streetwear brand based in Marseilles, France that prides itself on offering a modern, clean design that marries Western staples with traditional Islamic silhouettes.
Their latest collection features two-piece suit and tracksuit sets which feature more fitted jackets paired with cropped drop-crotch trousers (called sarouel) which come in deep, rich colors such as rust, olive and black.
While the brand offers a variety of jackets, polos, t-shirts and accessories, we most love the fit of their shirts, drop-crotch trousers and two-piece sets. They’re elegant takes on Western classics which can be worn both in and out of the office and we’re sure their timeless design will be here to stay.

3) TUNIQ
TUNIQ is a family-owned North African clothing label which emphasizes ethical clothing production and traditional handicraft over mass production.
A welcome break from the often dizzying array of cheaply-produced fast fashion designs, TUNIQ offers elegant outerwear and accessories for both men and women based on traditional designs from the founders’ homeland of Tunisia. Their website also offers features articles and videos highlighting the local craftsmen and craftswomen they work with as well as the production process for their garments.
The heart of their collection is in the excellent draped outerwear offerings, such as their blazers, cloaks and coats, which would make great statement pieces for Eid or any major function.

4) Mastoor
Mastoor is a modern European men’s fashion label that grounds itself in sustainable practices, transparent production and minimal designs.
The newest of our featured brands, Mastoor made its debut during the summer of last year with tees and miki hats in subtle, pastel hues which perfectly matched the warm seasonal mood along with their signature qandrisi worker pants, which featured a cropped fit with utilitarian pocket and seam details.
Since then, their product line has expanded to include hoodies, subtly embroidered thobes and a signature coat called “The G.O.A.T.”, making their line perfect for all seasons.

5) Love Closely
Love Closely is a prominent Canadian streetwear brand focused on producing pieces rooted in Middle Eastern and South Asian art and culture while reducing the use of poly-based fabrics and working with ethical producers in Canada, Pakistan and China.
The brand has thus far had great media success, being featured on outlets like GQ and Complex Magazine and having its pieces worn by celebrities like Riz Ahmed and French Montana.
Love Closely’s first two capsule collections, Birds of Love and Love Again, are respectively inspired by the poetic works of Attar and Faiz Ahmad Faiz. Their patchwork and calligraphic designs are featured on tops, pants, outerwear and accessories and lend an edgy twist to traditional designs.
